Hello Mark!, would you consider having some fans do some remixes for you?
we did that with the Politik remix contest (a project that is a few years old now, but we're still planning its release!), and honestly 85% of the submitted remixes were pretty unacceptable quality. the way the internet is now, everyone who does a remix would have theirs up on soundcloud, youtube, etc and while i applaud the democracy, i'm a huge believer in quality control. that doesnt mean i wont make the opportunity for remixers happen again, but i am a little wary. when a remix is subpar it just makes the original parts less than they are in their original form. once in a while i come across a new producer/remixer who i dig and organic communication can definitely lead to a remix.
short answer to your question: yes (albeit with provisos!)
Think you'll abandon the NI Maschine for the new MPC Renaissance? I just learned about this... Check it out:
Diggin the Church jams - esp Nia Andrews last week on a more acoustic version of 'Hooligan'; as the album is electronic, how about an 'acoustic quartet' version - as a kind of reinterpretation?!
