Mark de Clive-Lowe

I imagine it can be tough being an artist. Did you ever think you wouldn't make it as a musician? Did you have a fallback plan? Looking forward to your gig at Drom in Feb :)

i never thought about not doing music due to the economics of it. (as a slight aside, when i was 21 i had a 'normal' job for 3 months and gave that up pretty quickly as it felt to completely alien to me - even tho the money and perks were good, it did nothing for my spirit)... i did have one time around 2001 i think when i didnt feel like i had anything creative to say with my music and was in a reel rut with it. dego from 2000black/4hero was the person who pulled me out of that, got me in studio and helped me get my groove back. apart from that brief moment, it's always been 100% music for me. some months are tough, others are really rewarding, but all in all i'm fortunate and blessed to be able to do this thing that i love so much and have people all around the world who want me to share it with them. where i'm at now is different from where Young Mark thought he might be by now, but i truly appreciate that life's paths have led me to where i am now and i'm excited about the future!
