What's the simplest/best way to start learning/practicing piano scales on a daily basis?
spending time with the instrument is what helps the most for sure. practicing scales along with a metronome helps, start slow and build up the speed as your fingers get more used to it. also, try and hear the scales as music when you practice them rather than exercises, so you start to phrase the scales as words, sentences and stories rather than mathematics - hopefully that makes sense! also, feel free to make up your own scales and shapes and practice those. one you're comfortable with them in one key, replicate the same thing in a different key so the different shapes become more familiar. enjoy!
Much thanks! I'll make sure my friends in Paris attend your April's gig.
(No doubt that Church Paris would be a killer!).
All best and see you in March (traveling in Feb).
