You still diggin on the MPC3k or did you too make the NI Maschine transition?
i love the 3000. it's a classic and been the heart of my live setup for such a long time now. the tide's arising album was totally built around it too. in studio now i tend to program more directly into logic than on the MPC, but live it's still my weapon of choice. sometimes if they can't get me a 3000 then i settle for a 2500 which has its own vibe altho none of the hump or swing of the 3k. i do have the NI Maschine in studio now too but have yet to really dig into it.
the 3000 has so many limitations and i do kind of dig that. limitations make creative choices more important and bring a different kind of challenge so yeah, i like that :)
What advice would you give to young producers wanting to learn piano and harmony?
Secondly, do u create your music in a studio the same way you perform live? (with obvious exceptions)
I lost my MPC3k in transit from airline security flaws and was wondering if I should jump on the Maschine like others to replace my baby. I miss it and the ease of use. Now, its MPC or Maschine !?!?!Mark de Clive-Lowe responded on 03/24/2011
