good question! i was learning piano from 4 yrs old, so music was always a big thing and a natural part of my life. i remember when i was younger though, wanting to be an architect and a graphic designer. visual arts were always really interesting to me, as well as maths, so the combination of the two is what probably led me to thinking about architecture. seeing the plans for my parents' house when they renovated it really left an impression on me, i must have been 6 or 7 then.

i was also enrolled in law school when i was 19 and dropped out on the first day - that was the moment i really knew it was music for life and nothing else. a law degree might have been useful to have in the back pocket, but not sure i was cut out for that kind of study... the music calling was too strong to resist!
