you only need to soundproof a room if the noise is disturbing people who can hear it outside the room. acoustic treatment is a different matter - here's a good basic introduction to that: http://audio.tutsplus.com/tutorials/reco... - something that you should definitely consider if you're mixing in the room.
i've never used the CMS 65 so can't comment on that.
